Jerry Hill asks for prayers as he was laid off from his full-time job last week, I do have a part-time job till the end of the year which is seasonal. I'm trying to get my perc card for security but found out I need to get re fingerprinted. Pray for me during this time, that more opportunties would come in, for income to come in, and for be to have peace of mind. Pray for Alfredo Gomez for employment needs and his overall health concerns, Pray for George Roa for his financial needs and for employment , pray for him not to be depressed and bummed down, Thanks for all your prayers.

Pray that I will not be affected with the possible layoffs at my full time job that may happen next week or next month, praise God i do have a seasonal job once again, also applying for a perc card so this will allow me to get security work, pray for additional job opportunties and for additional income to come in as well. I would like to ask that i am risen up.
I have decided to take up my cross and i am making my declarment official in baptism...and i have already attended the class. I ask that i am in prayer to be kep in saftey, because the devil is trying to pull me down since the realization of my closeness to christ.
I would also pray that i can be complete in the holy spirit and that i can have christs heart of fear love and compassion...for i have stopped being a servant and made my christianity a selfish thing.
I need to change My ways for god, rather than him change for me.

My Dad just lost his job and he is trying to stop smoking. The stress level in our home is very big and I just pray that God would help us in this difficult time and that he would keep me strong and I wouldn't get stressed out. I pray that whatever God has for us in the future we would be patient and open to everything and anything he has in store for our family. I also want praise the Lord for giving me an awesome oppurtunity to share God with a friend from school. It is very encouraging to know that I can count on people to pray for me. ~ God Bless You

MyRequest: Pray for a friend George Roa who has been out of work for almost 9 months, pray for him as he has no money, he had to move out of his apt in Chicago because he couldn't afford it anymore. he had to move in with his sister in River Grove. Pray for me as my work at my full time job is getting slow and they are sending people home early or asking for voluntary time off. pray for more income to come in from doing odd jobs and or banquets that more would come in, now that were getting into the Spring season. I have been walking with the Lord for the past three years and she can't seem to truly forgive me, because she always brings up the past. Lord i raise my wife and household up onto you and release them. Let your will be done in my life as well as in my wife.

I didnt want to send lke a blog thingy on here or whatever its called because this is more of a personal thing but i have a mojor prayer request. Well we found out on tuesday my sister alyssa has cancer. Its a long story but to make it short its called synovial cell sarcmoa, cancer of the joints. She had a lump on her knee and it was removed last wednesday because the doctors were not sure if it was cancer or ust a blood clot. We found out this past tuesday it was cancer. She is only 16. She needs to have another surgery now that we know it cancer. Only to make sure that the whole lump was removed. She is going for cat scan and an mri on monday to make sure it hasnt spread. Its heartbreaking because she is so young and just started living life.

Dear beloved sponsors and friends of GNI, (Good News India)

We have never seen anything like this. We knew that Orissa was the most resistant and hostile State in India as
far as t he Gospel is concerned. And we brushed off the continuous threats and harassment we faced as we went about His work.

But none of our staff imagined that they would see this kind of
carnage....

And it seems to be totally under the radar of the Western Media.... Let me explain....

A militant Hindu priest and 4 of his attendants, who were zealously going around the villages of Orissa and "reconverting" people back to Hinduism, were gunned down by unknown assailants in Central Orissa last weekend. Immediately the Christians were blamed. The cry ro se up..."Kill theChristians!"

And the horror began....

In the past 4 days, we have first hand witness to hundreds of churches being blown up or burned and many, many dozens of Christian tribals have been slaughtered. For no other reason than they bear the name of Christ.

Night and day I have been in touch with our Good News India Directors spread across 14 Dream Centers in Orissa... they are right in the middle of all this chaos.

In Tihidi, just after the police came to offer protection, a group of 70 blood-thirsty militants came to kill our staff and destroy the home. They were not allowed to get in, but they did a lot of damage to our Dream Center by throwing rocks and bricks and smashing our gate, etc. They have promised to come back and "finish the job." Our kids and staff are locked inside and have stayed that way with doors and windows shut for the past 3 days. It has been a time of desperately calling on the Lord in prayer. More police have come to offer protection. In Kalahandi, the police and some local sympathizers got to o ur dream center and gave our staff and kids about 3 minutes notice to vacate. No one had time to even grab a change of clothes or any personal belonging. As they
fled, the blood thirsty mob came to kill everyone in the building. We would have had a mass funeral there, but for His grace. All our dream centers are under lock down with the kids and staff huddled inside and police outside. The fanatics are circling outside waiting for a chance to kill.

In a nearby Catholic orphanage, the mob allowed the kids to leave and locked up a Priest and a computer teacher in a house and burned them to death. Many believers have been killed and hacked into pieces and left on the
road....even women and children.

More than 5000 Christian families have had their homes burned or destroyed. They have fled into the jungles and are living in great fear waiting for the authorities to bring about peace. But so far, no peace is foreseen. This will continue for another 10 days.... supposedly the 14 day mourning period for the slain Hindu priest. Many more Christians will die and their houses destroyed. Many more churches will be smashed down.

The Federal government is trying to restore order and perhaps things will calm down. We ask for your prayers. Only the Hand of God can calm this storm.

Through all this, I am more determined than ever to continue with our goal: the transformation of a community by transforming its children. Orissa will be saved... that is our heart's cry. If we can take these thousands of throw away children and help them to become disciples of Jesus, they will be transform an entire region. It is a long term goal, but it is strategic thinking in terms of the Great Commission.

What can you do?
First, please uphold all this in fervent prayer.

Second, pass this e-mail on to as many friends as you can. We must get the word out and increase our prayer base for this is spiritu al warfare at its most basicmeaning. We are literally fighting the devil in order to live for His Kingdom.

The next 10 days are crucial. We pray for peace and calm to pervade across Orissa.
